MAJOR CRIME SQUAD MAKES SEXUAL ASSAULT ARREST IN BETHANY

   Today, 04/03/2007, at 1:00 pm. Central District Major Crime Squad Detectives at Troop I in Bethany arrested the accused identified as Constantine Klarides, D.O.B. 11/15/1960, of 7 Farm View Road in Bethany, CT. The accused was charged with Sexual Assault 3rd Degree 53a-72a(a)(1)(A) and Unlawful Restraint 2nd Degree 53a-96. 

   The arrest stems from an investigation following a complaint made by a female victim who stated that during June of 2006 she was sexually assaulted at the residence of the accused in Bethany. 

   The accused was arrested by warrant at his residence in Bethany. The accused was processed at Troop I in Bethany and released on a court set bond of $75,000.00.

   The accused will be presented in New Haven Superior Court on April 17, 2007, to answer the aforementioned criminal charges.  There are no further arrests anticipated.
