                               CONNECTICUT STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE

                               KIDNAPPING & SEXUAL ASSAULT

On Friday night 08/25/06 at approximately 11:55 p.m. State Police at Troop-L Litchfield received a telephone report from Bristol Hospital Emergency Room that a female had presented herself for treatment reporting that she was a victim of a sexual assault in the Town of Burlington. The victim was treated and released from the medical facility.

State Police Major Crime Detectives were assigned to initiate a criminal investigation into this incident. The victim was interviewed and stated that during the evening hours she was walking on Greer Rd. in Burlington and at about 9:00 p.m. two males in a dark colored SUV type car stopped the SUV on Greer Rd confronted the female victim forcing her into the vehicle. The victim was driven to a secluded location and forced to perform sexual acts. The female victim was then driven back to Greer Rd where she was released.

State Police Detectives while conducting this investigation have developed several investigative leads in this criminal case.  Detectives are asking anyone who may have any additional information to contact Connecticut State Police Detective Peter Valentin at 860 567-6823. This case remains under investigation.
