• 3/28/2019 CT DEEP Announces the Great Park Pursuit Family Adventure Kick-off at Chatfield Hollow State Park, Killingworth Saturday, May 11, 2019

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is pleased to announce that registration for the 2019 No Child Left Inside® Great Park Pursuit – Connecticut State Parks’ Family Adventure is now open at www.NoChildLeftInside.org.

• 3/19/2019 DEEP Statement on Fire at Silver Sands State Park

  On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at approximately 10:43 p.m., the Milford Fire Department as well as State Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police and other agencies responded to Silver Sands State Park to a report of a structure fire involving three buildings that were under construction.

• 3/19/2019 Completed Draft of the Long Island Sound Blue Plan Released for Public Review and Comment

  The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced the release of the draft Long Island Sound Blue Plan, together with the Long Island Sound Resource and Use Inventory and other supporting documentation.

• 3/6/2019 DEEP Kicks-Off a Comprehensive Review of Connecticut’s Water Quality Standards

  The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is conducting its triennial review of Connecticut’s Water Quality Standards to determine if revisions are necessary. DEEP is requesting the public’s input regarding the current standards, and recommendations on what to focus on, as part of the 2019 review.
