Tax Increment Financing

Overview

The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), in conjunction with Connecticut Innovations, can work with developers and municipalities to structure Tax Increment Financing (TIF) mechanisms to facilitate Brownfield redevelopment projects funding through future property taxes. TIF can also be used alongside other eligible funding sources.
