• I completed a non-OEDM training. Can I get continuing education credits toward maintaining my licensure/certification?
  Answer: Yes, if the course was relative to the duties of the code official.
• How do I get credit approved for a class that I wish to attend?
  Answer:

  1. Complete the Application for Outside Credit Approval form.
  2. Check the box Application for Course Approval.
  3. Fill out the Course Information and Applicant Information sections in full.
  4. Sign and date the application, attach all documentation requested.
  5. Send the form to OEDM for review using the information on the form.
  6. If the class is approved, we will send you your approved application form.
  7. After you attend the class, resubmit the approved form.
  8. Check the Verifying Attendance box, and provide the documentation as requested.
• How do I apply for continuing education credit if I have already attended a non-OEDM training?
  Answer:

  1. Complete the Application for Outside Credit Approval
  2. Check both boxes: Application for Course Approval and Verifying Attendance. 
  3. Fill out the Course Information and Applicant Information sections in full.
  4. Sign and date the application, attach all documentation requested.
  5. Send the form to OEDM for review using the information on the form.
