Reporting New Employees

Have you recently hired a new employee? Connecticut employers are required to report all new hires to DOL within 20 days of hiring. We’ve made the process quick and easy, and you can start right here.

[NOTE: Our reporting new hires function is currently being upgraded, but you can report new employees here via fax or mail. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, and will have the service back up and running soon.]

Please also be aware that if an employee returns to work for your company after a separation of 60 days or more, you should report that employee as a new hire.

NOTE: New Hire Reporting is not registration of an employee. It is the reporting of a certain employee being hired by a certain employer on a certain date. It creates a snapshot of the event.
