Connecticut State Troopers, Southbury Police Seek Victims of Car Break-Ins

Southbury, CT (July 15, 2018): Connecticut State Troopers from Troop A-Southbury and the Southbury Police Department seek victims of car break-ins in the Roxbury and Southbury area.

On July 15, 2018 at approximately 6:20 a.m., troopers responded to Southbury Rd. in Roxbury after a resident reported that two black male suspects were rummaging through his vehicle in his driveway, however when seen, the two suspects fled in a silver sedan.

As troopers and Southbury police officers responded to the area, the silver sedan was located and the suspects were stopped and detained.

Through the course of the investigation, troopers found burglary tools, numerous credit cards, small electronics, fishing gear, driver’s licenses and women’s pocketbooks, none of which belonged to either suspect.
The car break-ins occurred in the area of River Rd., Falls Rd. and Southbury Rd. in Roxbury and Perkins Rd. and Brown Brook Rd. in Southbury.  As troopers and officers continue to investigate, they ask that anyone in the Roxbury and Southbury area contact Troop A (203-267-2200) if they notice items missing from their vehicles.
