Statewide Narcotics Task Force Make Arrests Following Hartford Search Warrants

Hartford, CT (December 8, 2017): The Statewide Narcotics Task Force-North Central Office made several arrests following the execution of three narcotic-related Search and Seizure Warrants in Hartford.

On December 7, 2017 the Statewide Narcotics Task Force-North Central Office, in conjunction with detectives from Statewide Narcotics Task Force -East Office and the Connecticut State Police Tactical Unit, executed three narcotics-related search warrants at 450 New Britain Ave, 102 Sherbrook Dr. and 136 Flatbush Ave. in Hartford. 

The search warrants were the result of a several month-long investigation into the trafficking of narcotics from these locations and throughout the greater Hartford area. 

As a result of the search, detectives seized over $30,000.00 in US currency, 13 Cartons of untaxed cigarettes, 164 Grams of Heroin, 45 grams of Cocaine, 29 Grams of Fentanyl, 88 Grams of a white powder suspected to be Fentanyl, cutting agents and packaging material.

Detectives took Kevin Mendez (dob 10/4/1977) of 136 Flatbush Ave. into custody on 4 separate arrest warrants. Mendez was transported to Troop H-Hartford where he was charged with 4 counts of Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell (WITS) and 4 counts of Possession of Narcotics. Mendez was held on $600,000 bond total and scheduled to appear at Hartford Superior Court on December 8, 2017.

Detectives also took Angel Burgos (dob 5/27/66) of 136 Flatbush Ave. and Milagros Alvarez-Deralat (dob 1/22/57) of 136 Flatbush Ave into custody and transported them Troop H. Burgos was charged with Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell (WITS), Possession of Narcotics and Inferring.  Burgos was and held on $50,000.00 bond and Alvarez-Deralat was held on $100,000.00 bond. Both were scheduled to appear at Hartford Superior Court on December 8, 2017.
