State Police Detectives Investigate Griswold Robbery
Griswold, CT (December 7, 2017): On December 7, 2017 at approximately 11:20 a.m., troopers from Troop E-Montville responded to Smokers Discount World located at 69 North Main St. in Griswold for a reported robbery. It was reported that the store had been robbed by a male subject who displayed a weapon.
The suspect was described as a light-skinned male wearing a dark-color hooded sweatshirt or jacket, dark-color jeans, dark-color hat and tan boots. The suspect then left the store in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported during the incident.
Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Troop E at 860-858-6500 or text TIP711 with any information to 274637. All calls and texts will remain confidential.
