Detectives make arrests in Connecticut Valley Hospital Investigation

Middletown, CT. (September 5, 2017): The Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad, along with Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) Police served arrest warrants for staff members at the Whiting Forensic Division of the Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH), 70 O’Brien Drive, Middletown, accused of abusing a patient.

After the abuse was discovered, the patient was relocated and the identified staff members were placed on administrative leave.

An investigation by the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad and DMHAS Police resulted in arrest warrants being granted for the following accused individuals by the Middletown Superior Court.

The investigation is on-going and additional arrests are anticipated. The following individuals have been arrested as of this date:
