                   STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH AT FIRE SCENE

     On Saturday April 30th the Killingly Fire Dept responded to a reported fire by Bousquet TV. After firefighters suppressed the fire, they located human remains of a male.

     The scene was secured and State Police Troopers responded to the scene. In addition, Troopers from the Office of the State Fire Marshal responded to assist in this investigation.

     The State Police Major Crime Unit responded to initiate an investigation into this untimely death. Working with Troopers from the Office of the State Fire Marshal, investigators determined that the fire was accidental.

     The deceased was taken to the Office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner for a post mortem examination and to establish positive identification.  

     On Monday 05/02/11 the post mortem was completed and the
victim who died
in the fire in Killingly was positively identified as
Dale Trahan DOB 7-9-62 of Killingly, Connecticut. (Homeless)

     The cause of death is Smoke Inhalation/Manner of Death
is Accidental.

     This investigation is closed.
