                                                State Police Investigate Arson

On 05/31/11 at approximately 1:19 a.m., State Police from Troop C responded to assist the Stafford Fire Department at 36 W. Main St. Stafford at the Mill Town Tavern for a structure fire.

The Stafford Fire Department extinguished the fire and requested assistance from the State Fire Marshal’s Office.  A State Police K-9 was used in the investigation and alerted on an accelerant.  EDMCS-C Detectives responded and assumed the criminal investigation.

The property has been posted with a $2500.00 reward funded by the Connecticut FAIRPLAN.
