State Police Seize Marijuana Burlinton Motor Vehicle Stop

On 12/23/10 at about 1:50 a.m. Trooper Perrault, while on routine patrol, stopped a car for motor vehicle violations on Route 4 in Burlington.

During the Trooper’s investigation he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the car.

The operator, Michael Macbeth (DOB 03/29/89), of LKA 11 High Hill Rd. in Canton, CT was found to be in personal possession of a small amount of marijuana on his person.  This caused the accused to be taken into custody by the Trooper.

The vehicle was found to contain approximately 5lbs of marijuana and $7,710 in cash.  All were seized by the Troopers. In addition the car was also seized by State Police.

Accused MICHAEL MacBETH was charged with numerous felony drug charges and held on a $150,000 bond.  He is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court today12/23/10.
