UPDATE

          STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN EVADING ACCIDENT

     State Police continued their investigation in an attempts to locate Operator #2 who fled from this accident scene after striking a State Police Cruiser.

     During their investigation, Troopers identified and located the evading operator at 50 Ann Street in New Haven.

     State Troopers were dispatched to that location and Operator #2 was placed into custody without incident. He was transported to Troop-G Bridgeport where he was processed and held on bond.

ARRESTED: Kendrick R. Towles DOB 07/21/73

                        18 Ridge St, New Haven, CT

CHARGES:  Interfering with an police officer 53a-167a,

                       Evading responsibility in operation of a motor vehicle 14-224b,

                       Striking an officer with a motor vehicle 14-223a,

                       Operating under suspension 14-215 ,

                       No insurance 14-213b CGS, Operating unregistered MV 14-12a

                       Traveling too fast for conditions 14-218a CGS. 

Accused Towles was held on a $7500 bond to appear at GA #23 on 07/17/09. 

Tpr. Buffington #467 is recovering at home.  She is expected to miss several days of work due to injuries sustained in the motor vehicle accident.
