STATE POLICE CONTINUE GALES FERRY BANK ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
   On April 9, 2009, the Citizens Bank at 1663 Route 12 in Gales Ferry was robbed by a lone male. At approximately 2:50 p.m., State Troopers, the Ledyard Resident Troopers Office and Ledyard Officers responded to the reported robbery. Responding Troopers determined that a light skinned black male had displayed a handgun demanded money and fled the area on foot. 
   Witnesses described the suspect as 5’10”-6’ tall, medium build and wearing a dark-colored baseball-style hat, dark-colored running suit with light colored stripes on both arms and legs and light colored latex-style gloves.
   Following the robbery the suspect fled the area in an unknown direction. A search of the area was conducted and all surrounding police departments were notified.  State Police Major Crime Detectives have processed the crime scene and developed leads and information in this case. 
   Bank video surveillance cameras provided the attached photos of the suspect in this case.
