                STATE POLICE ARREST KILLINGLY WOMAN FOR LARCENY

On 07/27/09, at approximately 8:45 a.m., Cathy A. Flerra (DOB 10-26-54) of 148 Ballouville Road, in Killingly, surrendered herself to the Connecticut State Police Troop D barracks for service of an active arrest warrant on the charge of Larceny 1st Degree. 

This concluded a lengthy investigation by the Killingly Resident Trooper’s Office, the Killingly Superintendant of Schools Office and the Killingly Public Schools Business Office.  It had been alleged that Flerra, an administrative secretary at the Killingly Central School, had embezzled monies between March of 2006 and March of 2009 from the school’s Student Activity Fund.  Flerra, who was an employee of the school since 1988, was held on a $25,000 court-set bond and transported to the GA-11, Danielson Superior Court for arraignment on this charge.
