November 18, 2009

On Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at about 8:22 a.m. Connecticut State Police Troop L in Litchfield and Troop B in North Canaan received a "Be on the Lookout" notification (BOLO) from the New York State Police regarding a vehicle possibly involved in a suspicious death incident they were investigating in Sharon Springs, New York, that occurred on November 16, 2009.

The BOLO identified Gerry Allen King DOB: 04/04/1972 as being wanted for questioning in this incident, and that he was reporting operating a blue van with New York registration plates.

On November 17, 2009 at approximately 10:51 A.M. Connecticut State Trooper Greg Naylor, along with Troopers Mark Puzzo and Jeremy Combes were in the center of Norfolk actively searching for the described vehicle, when a vehicle matching the BOLO description was observed traveling eastbound on Route 44 in Norfolk.  The vehicle was stopped and the investigation determined that Gerry Allen King was operating the vehicle, which also contained several occupants.  At the request of New York State Police all occupants were detained at Troop B pending further investigatory steps.
