                             STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN DEATH

    On 08/24/08, State Police Detectives initiated a suspicious death investigation after responding to the death of the accused's 15-year-old son at their former residence, 170 Seckar Rd, in Ashford, CT. The post mortem examination of the deceased, conducted by the Office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner, revealed evidence of alcohol and drugs.  The cause of death was ruled as an overdose.

   State Police Detectives gathered facts and circumstances in this criminal investigation relative to the source and origin of the substances found in the system of the deceased. Due to the facts and information determined, State Police Detectives submitted an arrest warrant application to Superior Court for the arrest of the accused.  The arrest warrant was issued by the court and State Police arranged for the accused to surrender to State Police on 12/19/08. At 7:00 a.m. on 12/19/08 the accused surrendered to State Police at Troop-C.

                 Storrs, Ct.

CHARGES:  Risk of Injury to a Minor (3 counts)

   The accused was processed and held on $75,000.00 bond. She was transported to be presented in Superior Court GA-11, Danielson.  No additional arrests are anticipated in this investigation.
