               STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE STABBING IN DANIELSON

       On 06/29/2008 at 11:53 PM, Quinebaug Valley 911 center received a cellular call reporting that someone was stabbed at the Tyme Square Restaurant and Bar located at 14 Central Street, Danielson, CT. Troopers from Troop D and EMS responded,  finding a 25-year-old male identified as Mitchell Bourque, of Moosup, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso.  He was transported to Day Kimball Hospital by ambulance and then flown to UMASS Medical Center in Worcester, MA.  He is listed in guarded but stable condition.

     Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad were called in to investigate the incident and process the crime scene. Detectives learned that a fight ensued between two subjects in the street in the vicinity of The Tyme Square and Citizens Bank.  Bourque sustained multiple stab wounds during the altercation.
