   STATE POLICE AND BRISTOL POLICE ARREST WANTED PERSONS IN
 "OPERATION SEARCHLIGHT"
   Today December 17, 2008 early this morning, the ConnecticutState Police in conjunction with the Bristol Police Department conducted a city-wide arrest warrant operation. The operation code named “Operation Seachlight” was designed to apprehend people wanted by police on active violent felony warrants. The operation was to apprehend these individuals who were wanted and who inhibit the quality of life within the city of Bristol and throughout the State of Connecticut.
   Both police agencies developed intelligence information to enhance this operation and to safely apprehend these wanted individuals.  Many of these accused were wanted by the Bristol Police Department on various charges including Assault, Robbery, Burglary, Narcotic related offenses, Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear charges.
   Each prisoner that was apprehended was taken into custody by police teams made up of State troopers, Bristol Police Officers. The prisoners were then transported to Bristol Police Headquarters, 131 North Main Street, Bristol, CT. Where they were processed and assigned a court date.
