         STATE POLICE TASK FORCE AND NEW HAVEN POLICE

                     CONTINUE NARCOTICS INVESTIGATIONS

   On 11/29/2007, an on-going investigation conducted by the State Police Narcotics Task Force, the State Police New Haven Initiative Task Force and the New Haven Police concerning drug dealing within the City of New Haven led to the execution of a search warrant at 127 Clay Street, 3rd floor, New Haven.

   Seized from the residence was approximately ½ ounce of cocaine, one pound five ounces of marijuana (total street value of $4,000.00), one loaded Ruger .357 magnum revolver with the serial number obliterated, $315.00 cash, scales, packaging materials and surveillance equipment set up to observe people approaching the residence. 

1.  Arrested: Leonardo Cantres, (09-02-72), of 127 Clay Street 3rd Floor, New Haven

     Charges:  Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine W.I.T.S., Possession of Cocaine within 1500’ of a School, Possession of Cocaine W.I.T.S. within 1500’ of a School, Possession of Marijuana W.I.T.S, Possession of Marijuana within 1500’ of a School, Criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number.

2. Arrested: Heriberto Ambert, (11/08/70), of 127 Clay Street, 3rd floor, New Haven

    Charges:  Possession of marijuana W.I.T.S. possession of marijuana within 1500’ of a school, possession of marijuana within 1500’ of a school W.I.T.S. 

3. Arrested: Denise Repscher, (9/26/69), of 127 Clay Street, 3rd floor, New Haven

    Charges:  Possession of drug paraphernalia. 

4. Arrested: Jose Alvarez (12/20/89) of 479 Lombard Street 1st floor, New Haven

    Charges: An outstanding arrest warrant held by New Haven

This investigation will help improve the quality of life in this New Haven neighborhood.
