ARREST MADE IN ILLEGAL POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS

       On Friday, October 12th, 2007, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a subject named James Galante surrendered himself to the State Police at Troop I, Bethany, based on an active arrest warrant.

      This arrest warrant is the result of an extensive, long term investigation conducted by the State Police, the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office and Federal Authorities.

Arrested:  James GALANTE,  age 54,  d.o.b. 01/05/1953
              10 Weldon Woods Road, New Fairfield, CT

Charges:  Illegal Contributions to Political Committee (3 cts) C.G.S. 9-333n(a)
              Corrupt Practices (3 counts) C.G.S. 9-333x(7)

Court Date:Galante was released on a $50,000 non-surety bond with a court date of October 24, 2007 at G.A. 14 in Hartford.
