STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE STABBING
AT CARRIAGE HOUSE APARTMENTS


MANSFIELD-On 08/25/06 Connecticut State Police Troop C Tolland received a 911 call reporting that an altercation/disturbance had taken place at in front of building #15 at the Carriage House Apartment Complex in Mansfield, Connecticut.

Mansfield Resident Troopers and Troop C Troopers responded to the scene and discovered three people had sustained puncture wounds during this altercation. The three injured received emergency care at the scene.  One was transported to Hartford Hospital and two were transported to Windham Hospital for treatment of what were reported to be non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers initiated a criminal investigation. Several witnesses have been interviewed and the incident is presently under investigation. At this time State Police have not made any arrests in this incident.  No other injuries were reported.

The three victims have been identified as Matthew Kelly, age 21, of Thompson, Michael Mellio, age 20, of Ashford, and Keith Garbauskes, age 19, of Ashford.

Troopers are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has information regarding this disturbance to contact State Police at 1-800 318-7633. All calls will be kept in strictest confidence.  

The investigation is continuing.
