STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY

   On 10/30/06 shortly after 1:00 a.m.  State Police received a 911 call from a single family residence located at 250 Beaver Brook Rd. in Lyme reporting that an armed robbery had just taken place at the home.

   State Troopers responded to the home and determined that a lone male had knocked at the front door of the victim’s home. As the victim opened the door to his home he was confronted by a male who displayed a handgun and demanded any prescription medication in the house.  The victim provided some prescription medication gave it to the suspect who then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.  There were no injuries during this incident.

   State Troopers conducted a search of the area using K-9 teams and additional State Police manpower. All surrounding police departments were notified of the robbery. 

   The male suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.

   State Police Major Crime detectives have been assigned to conduct the criminal investigation into this armed robbery.

   State Police Detectives are asking anyone who may have any information regarding this case to contact State Police at 860 399-2100 all calls will be kept confidential.
