Lieutenant Governor Wyman, Access Health CT CEO Wadleigh Launch 2018 Healthcare Open Enrollment

(HARTFORD, CT) – Today, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, Chair of the Board of Access Health CT (AHCT), and Access Health CT CEO Jim Wadleigh announced the start of 2018 healthcare open enrollment. Connecticut residents can shop for, and enroll in, health insurance coverage through the state’s exchange from November 1 through December 22, 2017 online, in-person, or on the phone.

“Access Health CT is ready to help people get the right health insurance for their lives and healthcare situations,” said Lt. Governor Wyman. “Federal assistance is available through our exchange that makes policies more affordable, and there are multiple plans to choose from. I urge residents to contact Access Health CT, ask questions, and get the information they need to get covered.”

“We are one hundred percent focused on consumers,” said AHCT CEO Jim Wadleigh. “We want to help as many people as we can sign up for a plan that works best for them. This year, we have expanded options for in-person assistance to help consumers navigate the shortened enrollment window, and our enhanced Plan Comparison Tool helps residents find the best plan based on their healthcare needs and the prescription drugs and doctors they use. Consumers have a little over six weeks to enroll, and we’ve heard from them that one-on-one guidance at our in-person locations is a great resource.”

To enroll, consumers need to provide the following information:

  • Birthdate
  • Social Security number
  • Visa, green card, or immigration documents
  • Most recent tax return
