Access Health CT Enrollment Update from Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and CEO Jim Wadleigh

Hartford, Conn. (January 7, 2016) - Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, Board Chair of Access Health CT (AHCT), and Access Health CT CEO Jim Wadleigh today announced that as of January 5, 2016, AHCT has enrolled a total of 104,363 individuals in Qualified Health Plans (QHP).

"As we enter the final weeks of open enrollment we are urging residents to check their coverage and make sure they have everything in place for 2016," said Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman. "Healthcare is critical to a good quality of life, strong communities, and a competitive workforce. AHCT is ready to assist at the call center, online, in the store, or through our enrollment partners."

"We are pleased that so many Connecticut residents have chosen to enroll for quality, affordable healthcare coverage this open enrollment (OE) period," said Wadleigh.  "The current OE ends January 31, 2016 so there is still plenty of time left for people to call our call center at 855-805-4325, stop by one of our enrollment centers or visit our website at www.accesshealthct.com to shop and sign up for coverage.  AHCT has lots of tools to make the process easier, including our Consumer Decision Support Tool that helps customers estimate their annual out-of-pocket costs so they can determine which plan is best for them and their family.  Anyone who signs up before January 15th will have coverage effective Feb. 1st, 2016.  Individuals who sign up by January 31st will have coverage effective March 1st, 2016."
