STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR DANNEL P. MALLOY AND LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR NANCY WYMAN

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statement in response to the loss of one firefighter and the injury to three other firefighters in the line of duty tonight in Hartford.

"Tonight's tragic events are another reminder of the incredible sacrifice that our state's first responders make on a daily basis," said Governor Malloy. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the hero we lost tonight and those who were injured in the line of duty in our capital city.
