Board Resolution - Storm Related Late Transmittals Policy

November 9, 2011

WHEREAS, a declaration of civil preparedness emergency was issued by the Governor on October 29, 2011 due to a severe snow storm and unprecedented power outages experienced throughout the state;

WHEREAS, an emergency declaration for all eight counties in the State of Connecticut was issued by the President due to a severe snow storm and unprecedented power outages experienced through the state;

WHEREAS, many school systems and business offices in Connecticut were closed the week following the October 29th snow storm due to power outages throughout the state;

WHEREAS, section 10-183n(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes requires the reporting and submission of mandatory contributions required by that section on or before the fifth business day of the following month; otherwise said board is entitled to receive interest on late payments;

NOW, THEREFORE, The Board extends the due date on such reports and contributions from

November 7th, 2011 to November 15th, 2011.
