Bring a certified Brake Inspection Form (R-380) showing a complete inspection of the brake system within the past 3 months or 3,000 miles whichever comes first, unless the vehicle is brand NEW or has less than 3,000 miles.
Purchase a validated form B-312 from any DMV limited-service office or full-service office.
Inspections are done at the DMV inspection lanes and vehicles must be presented for inspection by 3:00 p.m.
Required Emergency Equipment: UL rated, minimum 10 BC fire extinguisher (fully charged) with a visible gage that is securely mounted and easily accessible to the driver; first aid kit, securely mounted, but removable, and easily accessible; 3 reflective triangles in a bag or box that is securely mounted inside the vehicle per DMV regulations.
