Important Election Day Information

HARTFORD – The following information will likely be of use or interest to you, or to your viewers and readers.

The polls will be open tomorrow, Tuesday November 6, 2018 from 6:00am – 8:00pm. Registered voters who are in line at 8:00pm will be able to vote and should stay in line. Voters can find their polling places at myvote.ct.gov/lookup.

The Office of the Secretary of the State and the State Election Enforcement Commission jointly run an Election Day hotline. If voters encounter any problems at the polling place they should contact the hotline at 866-733-2463 (866-SEEC-INFO) or elections@ct.gov.

Connecticut has Election Day Registration (EDR). Voters who are eligible to vote can register to vote on Election Day. Voters will register to vote and cast their vote in the EDR location in their town. EDR locations are available here: myvote.ct.gov/EDR and more information on EDR can be found here: myvote.ct.gov/EDRInfo. In order to register and vote on Election Day, voters must be fully registered to vote by 8:00pm. If a voter is not registered by 8:00pm they will not be able to vote, so voters are encouraged to get to the EDR location in their town as early as possible.
