    The Victim Services Unit provided by the Department of Correction (DOC) seeks to give victims of crime empathy, dignity, respect as well as a voice in correctional policy-making. The Victim Services Unit notifies victims of any changes in the status of incarcerated or imprisoned inmates that could impact the victim's safety and security.   • Violations of Crime Victims’ Rights

    The Office of the Victim Advocate provides oversight of state and private agencies, and advocacy to crime victims when a violation of their rights is at issue. The OVA receives and reviews complaints of persons concerning the actions of any state agency or other entity that provides services to crime victims.
