Winter Festival

DEEP’s annual FREE family Winter Festival provides fun for the entire family with many exciting and fun winter activities taking place from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 
Children and adults can spend time together outdoors and try ice fishing (ice dependent), go on a hike, try snowshoeing, play winter games, and view a host of demonstrations from LL Bean,  Resources in Search and Rescue (rescue dogs), and more.  Families may also gather around fire pits for a good old-fashioned marshmallow roast with REI and enjoy story-time by the bonfire.

Parking: 
There will be on-site parking at Burr Pond State Park in Torrington and at the Burr Pond Boat Launch Ramp.  There will also be off-site parking at the Burrville Fire Training School located on Burr Mountain Road in Torrington as well as at RBC Bearings Aircraft Products inc. located at 2788 Winsted Road in Torrington. There will be shuttles running between the event and these parking locations throughout the day during the hours of the event.  Please note that the last shuttle leaves Burr Pond at 3:15 pm
