Gov. Malloy: Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of the Victims of the School Shooting in Santa Fe, Texas

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that pursuant to a presidential proclamation directing flags across the country to be lowered to honor the victims of the mass shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas, U.S. and state flags in Connecticut should fly at half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

Accordingly, since no flag should fly higher than the U.S. flag, all other flags – including state, municipal, corporate, or otherwise – should also be lowered during this same duration of time.

Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman released statements regarding the shooting earlier today.
