Gov. Malloy: Flag of Haiti Raised at the Governor’s Residence
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today directed the flag of Haiti to be flown at the Governor’s Residence in Hartford in solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of Haitian-Americans and all other immigrant groups who live in the United States and who have been so crudely and wrongly disparaged by President Trump.
“The United States is a nation of immigrants who originate from countries throughout the world,” Governor Malloy said. “We should celebrate this diversity, not denigrate and shame it.”
