Gov. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Wyman Statements on the Passing of Patricia Low, Chair of the State Board of Labor Relations
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statements regarding the passing of Patricia Low, Chair of the State Board of Labor Relations. She served the board for 40 years, having been first appointed by Ella Grasso in 1977.
Governor Malloy said, “Pat Low embodied what it means to be a true public servant. She led a life of firsts – first woman to serve as Chair of the State Board of Labor Relations, and first woman Chair of her local Democratic Town Committee, to name a few. Her lifelong devotion to her family, friends, and the State of Connecticut has left a lasting legacy that many will cherish for years to come. While we mourn her loss, I hope the memory of her love and guidance brings her loved ones comfort during this difficult time.”
Lt. Governor Wyman said, “Pat Low was a beloved figure in politics and government and her involvement in the community is legendary. Her efforts and her compassion set a high bar for those who follow and set a wonderful example of the power of engaged citizens. My condolences go out to Pat’s family and friends during this very difficult time. Her knowledge and kindness will be missed.”- Twitter: @GovMalloyOffice
