Gov. Malloy Directs Flags to Return to Full-Staff on Tuesday Evening
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that U.S. and state flags should return to full-staff at sunset on the evening of Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Flags have been flying at half-staff in the state in honor of U.S. Navy Petty Officer Dustin Doyon of Suffield, who was among those who died on board the U.S.S. John S. McCain when it collided with a merchant vessel off the coast of Singapore.
In the coming weeks, Governor Malloy will again direct flags to be lowered to half-staff on the date of Petty Officer Doyon’s interment, pending the scheduling of memorial services.
