Gov. Malloy Statement on Praxair's Announcement of Merger With German Company Linde
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today released the following statement regarding the announcement made by Danbury, Connecticut-based company Praxair, Inc. that it will be merging with German company Linde. As part of the agreement under the merger, Praxair’s current CEO Steve Angel will lead the combined company as CEO and will be based in Connecticut.“We are proud to have a globally recognized corporation like Praxair consider Connecticut home and we applaud the decision of these two companies to maintain a significant presence here – this truly is a win for our state.
