Gov. Malloy Advises Connecticut Residents to Prepare for Snow During Morning Commutes
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy is advising Connecticut residents to prepare for an anticipated snowfall overnight that may create hazardous conditions on the roads, particularly during Friday morning's rush hour commute.
"We are monitoring the fast-changing weather forecast closely and will continue to do so throughout the night. We expect different areas of the state to see varying snowfall totals. We are urging motorists to be cautious during their morning commutes tomorrow - the timing of the snow could create slick road conditions," Governor Malloy said. "We encourage everyone to be safe, allow extra time to travel to and from work, and reduce speeds as conditions warrant. Road conditions may be difficult because of the timing of the storm, so please be safe and please be prepared. We will continue to monitor this winter weather closely as it develops."
