Gov. Malloy & Lt. Gov. Wyman on the Passing of Ted Cummings
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today released the following joint statement regarding the passing of longtime advocate, Manchester political leader, and World War II veteran Ted Cummings:
"Ted's passing is a terrible loss for Manchester and for Connecticut. As a local leader, Ted had a long reach, mentoring and advising community officials and leaving a legacy of compassion and caring in his hometown and throughout the state. He was a deeply respected advocate, a war hero, and a model for selfless public service. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this sad time."
