Gov. Malloy Directs Flags to Continue Flying at Half-Staff Through Saturday, July 25
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that - in accordance with a proclamation from President Barack Obama - U.S. and state flags should continue flying at half-staff through sunset on Saturday, July 25, to honor the military members slain in a Chattanooga, Tennessee shooting.
Yesterday, Governor Malloy ordered flags in Connecticut to be lowered to honor the victims of the shooting. Today's presidential action extends that order through Saturday.
