Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Discusses Impact of "Second Chance society" Initiative on Youth Offenders
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit the Connecticut Juvenile Training School (CJTS) in Middletown, where he will hold a news conference to discuss the impact that his "Second Chance Society" initiatives will have on turning lives around. The Governor's proposals and criminal justice reforms - supported by Democrats and Republicans in red and blue states nationwide - are designed to drive down the state's historically low crime rates even further. CJTS is a state facility operated through the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and provides juvenile services, including rehabilitative programming, clinical treatment, educational services, and other specialized programs to inspire personal and professional growth among youths.
