Gov. Malloy: Election to Fill Vacancy for Probate Judge in Hartford to be Held this Fall
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that an election to fill a vacancy for Judge of Probate for the Hartford Probate District will be held during the next general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
The seat became vacant on April 10, 2015 upon the resignation of Probate Judge Robert Killian, Jr. from the position.
Under state law, upon a vacancy for Judge of Probate, the Governor is required to issue a Writ of Election and select a date for an election. Governor Malloy filed the writ with the Hartford Town Clerk late last week.
