Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Attends First Meeting of Transportation Finance Panel; Makes Announcement on the Walk Bridge in Norwalk; Participates in Stamford Citizen of the Year Ceremony
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make introductory remarks at the first meeting of the Governor's Transportation Finance Panel, which he created to analyze and recommend options for financing a transformation of Connecticut's transportation infrastructure over the next 30 years and beyond.
In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference in Norwalk to make an announcement concerning the planned replacement of the Walk Bridge, the 119-year-old bridge that serves the New Haven commuter rail line. He will be joined by Department of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker, Metro-North Railroad President Joseph Giulietti, and other state and local officials.
In the evening, Governor Malloy will participate in the 70th annual Stamford Citizen of the Year dinner, where Gene Rubino will be inducted as this year's recipient.
