Friday: Gov.Malloy Attends Rally Supporting Guilford's Nick Fradiani; Meets with Nepalese American Residents to Discuss Earthquake Recovery Efforts
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit Guilford High School to attend a rally in support of Nick Fradiani, a Guilford resident now in the top four on this season's "American Idol" television program.
At noon, Governor Malloy will meet with a group of Nepalese American residents from Branford who have been actively raising funds and organizing volunteers to travel to Nepal and help with earthquake recovery. The residents, some of whom have family directly impacted by the earthquake, will provide the Governor with a briefing on their efforts. Also attending the meeting will be State Senator Ted Kennedy, Jr. (D-Branford), State Representative Lonnie Reed (D-Branford) and State Representative Sean Scanlon (D-Branford).
