(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will announce improved and more reliable service on the New Canaan Branch of Metro-North's New Haven Line. He will be joined by Department of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker and other state and local officials. The Governor will hold a media availability on the platform of the Springdale Station in Stamford promptly at 1:55 p.m. He will then ride aboard the 2:05 p.m. train to New Canaan, and that same train will return to the Springdale Station at 2:37 p.m. Reporters and television crews are welcome to ride with the Governor for the trip.

Later, Governor Malloy will participate in the grand opening ceremony of Deloitte's new headquarters in Stamford. As part of the First Five program, Deloitte's expansion will see the creation of hundreds of new jobs in Connecticut.
