SATURDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS FARMLAND PRESERVATION CELEBRATION IN LEBANON

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Saturday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will attend the Connecticut Department of Agriculture's Farmland Preservation Celebration in Lebanon. The event, which features exhibits and displays, live music and dancing, and a showcase of Connecticut Grown food, among other attractions, celebrates the state's Farmland Preservation Program, which since 1978 has protected the farmland soils of 300 farms and nearly 40,000 acres to ensure the future of agriculture in Connecticut.
