GOV. MALLOY STATEMENT ON ARREST OF FORMER DMV DEPUTY COMMISSIONER

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement in response to the arrest of Victor Diaz, a former deputy commissioner of the state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

"These allegations are reprehensible. As an advocate against sexual assault and someone whose wife spent years working to help survivors and victims of sexual assault, combatting an issue like this is very important to our family. Conduct like the alleged should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
