MONDAY: GOV. MALLOY ANNOUNCES MAJOR NATURAL GAS EXPANSION IN WILTON; VISITS EXPANSION PROJECT AT SMITHS MEDICAL IN SOUTHINGTON

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join officials from the Town of Wilton and executives from Yankee Gas at a news conference to announce the start of a major construction project that will deliver a new natural gas pipeline to households and businesses where it was previously unavailable. The project makes Wilton the first community in the state to partner with a utility through Governor Malloy's Comprehensive Energy Strategy.

Later, Governor Malloy will visit Smiths Medical in Southington for an opportunity to tour the facility and meet with its senior management and over 250 staff members. The company is a leading global provider of medical devices for the hospital, emergency, home and specialist environments. Its Southington location is currently in the initial stages of an expansion project.
