WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY MAKES MAJOR TRANSPORTATION ANNOUNCEMENT IN BRIDGEPORT; ATTENDS SHERWOOD ISLAND GROUNDBREAKING

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation and modernization of the well-known pavilion at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport. The pavilion was built in 1961 and was last renovated 25 years ago. Its renovations are being funded by $3.5 million in state bonding. The Connecticut State Park system is currently celebrating its centennial year.

Later, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference in Bridgeport to make a major transportation announcement for the city. He will be joined by Mayor Bill Finch, and other state and local officials.
