TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY COMMEMORATES NEW LAW PROTECTING HORSE OWNERS AND HANDLERS; ATTENDS GINI'S HOUSE OPENING IN NORWALK

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a ceremony at Locket's Meadow Farm in Bethany to commemorate the enactment of a new state law that protects the owners and handlers of domesticated horses from a recent court ruling by making it clear in state statute that the animals do not possess a naturally mischievous or vicious propensity. He will be joined at the ceremony by horse owners and members of the state's associated agricultural community. The legislation is Public Act 14-54 , An Act Concerning the Liability of Owners and Keepers of Domesticated Horses, Ponies, Donkeys and Mules .

Following that, Governor Malloy will attend the grand opening ceremony of Gini's House, a supportive housing development in Norwalk.
